Crown and Bridge (CEREC)

A crown is the ‘top’ part of your tooth that connects to other teeth when chewing or biting. A dental crown is used to cap large cavities, such as a root canal, or when repair of a tooth is required because of a heavy bite.

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration piece to replace a missing tooth. It does this by attaching an artificial tooth to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Dental cement is most often used to bond teeth in the case of a bridge.

Treat Dental Bacchus Marsh makes crowns and bridges from a variety of materials. We fabricate crowns and bridges in-house with the latest model of the CEREC. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Using CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Computer-AIded Manufacturing), we can construct, produce and insert individual ceramic dental restorations, right at the chairside with you. We can do this in a single appointment, not over multiple appointments, which was the case with the traditional mould-casting method.

Ceramic dental restorations are biocompatible and look more like your teeth, giving you a natural-looking smile. CEREC crowns and bridges that we produce need minimal adjustment thanks to the digital mapping we do, charting the inside of your mouth so thoroughly. Studies have shown at least a ten-year lifespan on ceramics made with CEREC technology- 95.5% success after 9 years, and 84% after 18 years! Get Bacchus Marsh Dental Care Today!
